Škoda’s Traffication in-vehicle application introduces Emergency Vehicle Alerts to more countries and launches Road Maintenance Alerts, both powered by HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud.

CHICAGO, IL – 2/19/2026 – HAAS Alert announced today that Czech automaker Škoda has expanded its milestone deployment of Safety Cloud-powered digital alerts across Europe. Following an initial launch in the UK and Netherlands in 2025, Škoda drivers in more European countries will receive Emergency Vehicle Alerts via Traffication as emergency services agencies connect to Safety Cloud. Safety Cloud, a cloud-based V2X (vehicle-to-everything) digital alerting platform, provides real-time warnings to drivers via in-vehicle applications like Škoda’s Traffication and popular mobile navigation apps, enhancing road safety and efficiency for emergency responders, roadside assistance providers, road work crews, and broken down vehicles.

An emergency service vehicle with activated warning lights shares its real-time position and direction of travel with Safety Cloud, which then transmits this information to Škoda. Škoda’s network automatically identifies its vehicles equipped with the Traffication service that will encounter the hazards and sends a proactive alert to the infotainment system, giving its drivers enough time to safely react to the situation.

These alerts are Euro NCAP relevant features of Škoda’s Traffication in-vehicle safety app. To activate the service, vehicles only need to be connected and enrolled. Drivers can then simply select the Traffication app via the in-car Shop. The feature is available on compatible MY2019 and newer vehicles with active Škoda Connect services. The alerts run in the background without requiring driver intervention, providing immediate notifications only when relevant to the driver's current route. For vehicles that don't currently have Traffication installed, the application can be downloaded easily via the vehicle's Shop interface.

Scaling Across Europe

The expansion into more European countries represents a significant scaling of Škoda’s safety commitment and the continued growth of the Safety Cloud network across Europe. This deployment builds on the established success of the platform in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, where a vast network of emergency response vehicles is already integrated. By leveraging HAAS Alert’s growing infrastructure, Škoda continues to lead the way as the first European automotive manufacturer to provide comprehensive, cross-border V2X digital alerting.
