Münster, Germany, May 28, 2026 — SELECTRIC, Germany's market-leading provider of communications and technology solutions for public safety agencies, and HAAS Alert, the leader in real-time digital alerting for emergency vehicles and roadway workers, today announced a partnership to bring HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud platform to first responders across Germany. The collaboration will enable emergency services to respond to incidents faster and more safely - while alerting the drivers they approach well before those drivers can see traditional lights and sirens.

Protecting First Responders and the Public They Serve

Every emergency response involves a race against time - and a hidden risk. As fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles navigate traffic en route to an incident, drivers in oncoming lanes often don't react soon enough. Traditional warning measures, including lights and sirens, give approaching drivers only seconds to respond. HAAS Alert's Safety Cloud platform changes that equation by sending real-time digital alerts to drivers thirty seconds of advance warning through the navigation apps and vehicle dashboards they're already using.

Through this partnership, SELECTRIC will leverage its deep relationships with German public safety agencies and its expertise in mission-critical communications to bring Safety Cloud to emergency fleets across the country.

"As Germany's leading public safety technology partner, we are always looking for innovations that give our customers a meaningful efficiency and safety advantage. HAAS Alert's ability to reach drivers through connected vehicles and navigation applications is exactly that kind of innovation. We are proud to bring this capability to German first responders." Jan-Christian Heussner, Head of Product Management, SELECTRIC.

"SELECTRIC is the ideal partner to accelerate the deployment of Safety Cloud across Germany. Their standing in the market and their understanding of what first responders need day-to-day is unmatched. Together, we can help every emergency crew get to the scene faster and get home safer." Gareth Evans, Director of European Business Development, HAAS Alert.

How It Works: From Emergency Vehicle to Driver Dashboard

When an emergency vehicle's lights activate, Safety Cloud immediately identifies the vehicle's location and broadcasts a real-time alert through HAAS Alert's network of digital alerting partners. Those alerts reach drivers approaching the scene through multiple channels simultaneously:

  • Connected vehicle dashboards - including Škoda vehicles today, with additional vehicle manufacturers joining the network this year, bringing alerts directly into the infotainment systems of millions of passenger cars
  • Navigation applications - including Waze and Apple Maps, enhancing turn-by-turn directions to warn drivers of the approaching emergency vehicle

The result is a layered digital communication and safety net that extends the reach of every emergency response - warning drivers well before traditional measures can.

No New Hardware Required for Ericsson Router Users

One of the most significant aspects of this partnership is its ability to deliver immediate impact without requiring a single hardware installation for agencies already using compatible Ericsson routers in their fleet. Through Safety Cloud software deployed onto Ericsson routers via an over-the-air update, emergency service agencies can equip their vehicles with Safety Cloud digital alerting via existing investments they have already made. For German first responder agencies currently equipped with Ericsson routers, this means increased safety and operational efficiency from day one, with no additional capital expenditure and no downtime for installation.

"The ability to activate Safety Cloud through Ericsson routers that agencies already have in their vehicles is a big advantage for the agency," said Jeremy Agulnek, HAAS Alert’s Chief Product Officer. "Public safety budgets are under pressure everywhere. The fact that we can deliver real, measurable efficiency and safety improvements without asking agencies to buy new hardware means that our customers can cost-effectively upgrade their operations."

A Solution for Every Fleet, Old or New

For agencies that do not yet use Ericsson routers, HAAS Alert's HA-7 Transponder provides a straightforward path to Safety Cloud connectivity. The HA-7 is a purpose-built hardware device that installs in any emergency vehicle in less than one hour, connecting directly to the vehicle's emergency lighting system. Once installed, it activates automatically whenever emergency lights are engaged, with no action required from the crew.

This means Safety Cloud is accessible to every first responder agency in Germany, regardless of fleet age, vehicle type, or existing technology infrastructure. Whether a department operates the latest connected vehicles or decades-old apparatus, HAAS Alert and SELECTRIC are committed to ensuring that no first responder is left without digital alerting protection.

Complementary Strengths, One Shared Mission

This partnership brings together two organizations whose capabilities are deeply complementary. SELECTRIC brings decades of experience serving Germany's public safety community - an intimate understanding of how emergency agencies operate, what they need, and how to earn and keep their trust. HAAS Alert brings a proven cloud-based alerting platform, a growing ecosystem of OEM and navigation application integrations, and a track record of measurable safety improvements across fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies.

Together, the two companies are positioned to accelerate Safety Cloud adoption across Germany's emergency services and to continue expanding the network of connected vehicles and applications through which alerts are delivered.

"This is not simply a distribution arrangement — it is a genuine combination of expertise," said Hendrik Pieper, CEO SELECTRIC. "SELECTRIC knows the German public safety market. HAAS Alert knows digital alerting and connected vehicle integration. Together, we can offer something neither of us could offer alone."

Availability

Safety Cloud is available now to German public safety agencies through SELECTRIC. Agencies using Ericsson routers can activate service immediately through HA-Direct integration. For all other fleets, the HA-7 Transponder is available through Selectric's existing sales channels.
